What wonderful weather with clear
blue skies and temperatures of 25C - was this really Scotland in
May? - what wonderful courses in superb condition - what great
London Coopers arrived with 4
players and 2 wives and Glasgow fielded 5 players on Thursday and 8
players on Friday.
We played Glasgow Gailes Links in 3
x 3 balls and Glasgow Killermont in 4 x 4 balls in a London v
Glasgow match with Bill Scott and Pat Kelly playing for London as
they are also members of the Worshipful Company - London won the
event 5 holes up.
We had dinner in Glasgow City
Centre on Thursday with 10 attending and on the Friday evening we
dined in Killermont Clubhouse with 21 attending included many of
our ladies as well as our non-golfing Deacon.
The two days were a huge success
and allowed us to get to know each other better in a very relaxed
We anticipate a repeat event next
year - most likely in Scotland especially if we are able to
guarantee the weather.
