Ruth Crothers took the 2nd Prize of £350 and a ticket to the 100% Design.  Her work was described as "Playful pattern making and successful application onto shoes.  Visually creative and commercial use of the leather scrap.  An over all excellent well rounded project."

Joint 3rd Prize was awarded to Frances Gordon and Jenni Barret and commendations to Joanna Dixon, Heather Hobb and Asami Ohara.

An item of each of the 4 designers work will be displayed on the Bridge of Weir Leather Company stand at 100% Design.

After the awards ceremony at the Trades House, Susan said "This year's leather competition was outstanding and it was extremely difficult selecting the winners.  The overall attention to detail and presentation of the leathers they produced was of a very high standard.  It was necessary to remind ourselves they were just 2nd year students.  We look forward to showing the students work at 100% Design in London."
