The Incorporation's Annual Dinner in
Merchants House was, as usual, an outstanding success.
Chaired by Visitor George Thomson,
the attendees enjoyed the sumptuous and recently redecorated
surroundings of the magnificent Merchants House.
A delegation from The Incorporation
of Bakers "visited" the event and Deacon Robert Linton accompanied
by Collector Elizabeth Reidford gave an amusing address to the
Deacon Convener Keith Brown OBE
spoke eloquently about the Craft's involvement in Glasgow's and The
Guest speakers Ewen Cameron and
Willie Allan delivered excellent talks which were much enjoyed by
the Maltmen and their many guests.
Catering was provided by "It's All
Food" and it was agreed to be of a splendid standard served with
real expertise by their staff.
Members were able to bring their own
wines and spirits to the Dinner, which was much appreciated as The
Maltmen are a living Craft and hosts wanted to display and serve
their own products.
All in all, a magnificent

Three students from Glasgow College
won and were awarded prizes and they collected them at the Dinner
accompanied by their incoming curriculum head.
